Easy Organization – The Jewelry Edition

19 Jul

I absolutely love to organize. Stores like Bed Bath & Beyond and the Container store were basically MADE for me. 🙂 I thought it might be helpful to share some of my ideas and tips with all of you and hopefully you will share some of your tips with me! I always love to change up my room so I’m always open to new ways of doing it!  So here is the first part of my Easy Organization series: Jewelry. Enjoy. 🙂

This here is my full collection of jewelry. I have everything placed on top of my dresser and it is kind of my “dressing station” in the morning. 🙂

This is something that I bought from Ikea for about $15-20. It’s actually from the bath section of the store, but I think it’s great for storing smaller items such as rings, hoop and stud earrings, watches and miscellaneous bracelets and such.

This first image is of my bracelets. These nifty little holders are from Michael’s and were about $7-9 dollars, which is a great deal (especially when you have a 40% off coupon.) These are classy, sleek and oh so chic (oh boy, excuse the corny rhyming) and are great for displaying bangles, watches or any bracelets you may have. They hold a decent amount, but you can never have too many!

The second image is a cheap little holder that I made out of a pillow case and a hanger. I literally just cut the pillowcase along the side seams so that it was only one piece of fabric thick. Then, on the edge with the seam, I cut a small hole and stuck a hanger in it so that I could hang it up. It works, but I have a MUCH better idea for one that is much cuter and classier than this will ever be. Stay tuned because I will definitely be doing a DIY post about it!

This, as you may recognize from an earlier post, is jewelry rack. This one in particular is from Ikea and was $5. Cheap, right?? There are so many fabulous ways of displaying necklaces on a wall. You can use a hook rack such as this one. Individual hooks such as these or even just nails hammered into the wall are an awesome way of displaying them!
